Biography
Ash has always dreamed of becoming a Pokémon Master and as soon as he hit the age of 10 he rushed to Professor Oak's Laboratory to get his first Pokémon. Originally wanting to choose Squirtle, Ash ended up getting the Pokémon Pikachu and left on his journey. Starting off as a completely unskilled trainer, Ash managed to go through, with the assistance of his friends Misty & Brock and capture new Pokémon and defeat the gyms in Kanto, allowing him to enter in the Pokémon League. Since then he has continued to travel, make new friends and capture new Pokémon while still following his goal of becoming a Pokémon Master. Since this goal is so close to his heart, he sometimes acts a bit rash and rushes to the next battle he can as fast as possible.

Pokémon Emerald is the third game set in the land of Hoenn. On first looks this game seems to be identical to it's predecessors, Ruby & Sapphire, however there is much more that meet's the eye in this game

First thing you'll probably notice are the Pokémon's Animations, similar to how they were animated in Crystal, which are making a welcome return to the Pokémon games. Also, the graphics in this game are sharper than in Ruby/Sapphire with more detail to the overworld

Both Team Aqua & Team Magma are heavily involved in this game's storyline as they both try to awaken their respective Pokémons...and when they do, thats where the game radically changes from the other games with a whole bit where they battle and you have to stop them.

There is also inclusion of many new areas including Magma Hideout, Mirage Tower, Desert Underpass, Marine Cave, Terra Cave, Studio Cave & finally and most importantly, the Battle Frontier.

The Battle Frontier contains 7 buildings which all incorporate a different style of battling where you have to battle through multiple trainers to get to their leader's, The Frontier Brains. These battle styles include Rental Pokémon, Random Rooms, Relying on your Pokémon's Nature to battle, Tournements and many more...definitely a way to challenge any trainer

The Gym Leaders & Elite Four have also been updated with different Pokémon and a whole new gym leader! To make things even better you can rebattle the Gym Leaders up to 4 times via the Match Callfeature

There are many more things to Emerald including Johto Starters, Contests, Breeding & Ability Additions, Rare Legendary Pokémon, Pokémon from other Regions and many many more

When expelling a blast of super hot fire, the red flame at the tip of its tail burns more intensely. If Charizard becomes furious, the flame at the tip of its tail flares up in a whitish-blue color. Breathing intense, hot flames, it can melt almost anything. Its breath inflicts terrible pain on enemies. A Charizard flies about in search of strong opponents. It breathes intense flames that can melt any material. However, it will never torch a weaker foe. Its wings can carry this Pokémon close to an altitude of 4,600 feet. It blows out fire at very high temperatures.Overview
A familiar friend from the first generation, Charizard makes yet another appearance in the competitive battling scene. Despite achieving extensive popularity among Pokémon fans, Charizard has difficult retaining any kind of sustainable popularity among competitive battlers.
The Fire-Flying typing is Charizard's main curse. Weaknesses to Water, Electric and Rock moves leaves it exposed to a lot of opponents, but the biggest issue is the 4x Stealth Rock weakness. Much like other Pokémon with the same 4x weakness, Rapid Spin support is a must.
Looking passed its crippling problems, Charizard does have a fair amount to boast about. Most notably, it fills in a unique niche with Belly Drum. The synergy between Belly Drum, Blaze and Salac Berry makes 'Bellyzard' a noteworthy threat, and in the right hands, it's quite capable of clean sweeps. Outside of its niche, both its physical and special move-pools are respectable, and both of its offensive stats are strong enough to support a physical, special or mixed move-set. However, non-niche sets suffer from comparisons to its other Fire brethren (particularly Infernape, whose diverse move-pool, Speed and lack of Stealth Rock weakness tends to make it a stronger choice).

Both games have their own unique style, with the 3DS one having a border around the characters to allow for them to be more easily seen, while the Wii U one focuses on completely high quality graphics.

Between the two games, the character roster will be the same across both games, but the stages will differ between each games. Super Smash Bros. for 3DS will have stages based upon the various games from Nintendo's handheld platforms while Super Smash Bros. for Wii U will have stages based upon various games on Nintendo's home consoles.

Pokémon Bank is a piece of downloadable software that allows for you to store various Pokémon from your Pokémon X & Y games on the internet. It requires a yearly fee of 500¥ and has storage for up to 3,000 Pokémon. It also runs a trial for 30 days at any point until January 31st which is when it becomes a paid service.

Pokémon Bank simply allows you to store up to 3,000 Pokémon within 100 boxes on the Internet, away from the boxes you have in your game. With this, you also have the ability to transfer content between various Pokémon X & Y games. It also has protections that prevent cheated Pokémon from being able to be transferred to the Bank.

In addition to that, you have the ability to search through your boxes based on type, species and various other features.

Each download of Pokémon Bank comes with the special app called Poké Transporter which allows for the transfer of Pokémon from Generation V games to Generation VI

Pokémon X & Pokémon Y are the first Generation VI Pokémon games, coming for the Nintendo 3DS worldwide in October 2013

These games are the first to include a real 3D world and 3D battles, utilising 3D models in amazing battle environments. The world also is completely 3D, while keeping grid based movement.

It introduces a variety of new Pokémon including Chespin, Fennekin and Froakie, the new starter Pokémon and Pokémon X stars the legendary Pokémon Xerneas while Pokémon Y features the Pokémon Yveltal. The addition of the new Pokémon takes the number of Pokémon over to well above 700. It also is the first game since Gold & Silver to introduce a new type, the Fairy-type

In addition to new Pokémon and a new type, Pokémon X & Y introduce a whole new feature to Pokémon, Mega Evolutions. These give certain Pokémon a temporary evolution in battle to a stronger, never-seen-before, appearance with increased stats, changed abilities and sometimes even different types. You even get given a Kanto starter Pokémon in order to get their Mega Evolution.

The games are set within the Kalos region, a large region which has a Regional Pokédex split into three parts, Central, Coastal and Mountain. In the game, you start off as a trainer, being able to customise the appearance between three different options for each of the genders. There are a variety of new features involved including being able to ride certain Pokémon within certain areas.

The game also makes training a Pokémon's Effort Values easier through a mini-game system known as Super Training. With this, you have the ability to increase your pokémon's Effort Values through a scheme of mini-games and various other features.

This game also introduces the idea of Trainer Customisation, allowing you to not only pick your trainer's hair colour and skintone from three options, but to completely customise your trainer's outfit and accessories

Pokémon X & Y have compatibility with two bits of Nintendo 3DS download software. First, you can use Pokémon Bank to store up to 3,000 Pokémon on the cloud, and you can use the Poké Transporterto transfer Pokémon from Black, White, Black 2 & White 2.

Like previous new generations, Pokémon X & Y brings several new forms of battling. First are Sky Battles, which can only be participated in by Flying-type Pokémon, and Horde Encounters which are wild Pokémon encounters where you face off against up to 5 Pokémon at once.
